ALEC VOORHEES In 2014 it has been impossible to ignore the emerging talent of 17-year old Alec Voorhees . A bronze medalist at the 2013 Junior World Championships, as well as a top creek boater on the North Fork of the Payette in Idaho, Alec is rapidly establishing himself as one of the top contenders in whitewater kayaking. Alec recently earned a spot as one of five “Wild Cards” to race in the North Fork Championships. A week later he placed 5th at the Payette River Games men’s division against arguably some of the fiercest competition in freestyle kayaking. His results at both events are proof that Alec is as strong and versatile in freestyle as he is in a creek boat, making him a serious force…
