What does an ecologist do, and what work is involved in your role at Murdoch University? G: I am a scientist who specialises in ‘ecology’ – studying how different organisms (like plants, animals, and fungi) interact with each other and the world. I’m a ‘restoration ecologist’, as I focus on how to restore nature that’s lost or damaged. My work at Murdoch University involves research on ways to restore nature.
