Meet Michael McFadden, a conservation biologist at Taronga Zoo who works on saving endangered reptiles and amphibians! K-Z : Hi Michael! Tell us about being the Herpetofauna Unit Supervisor at Taronga! M: My role is extremely varied, and it includes overseeing collection of amphibians and reptiles, ensuring all are in good health, and that exhibits look amazing for visitors. This means supervising our team of talented keepers and overseeing the operations of husbandry tasks, talks and tours, and working with other teams. It also involves overseeing exciting and vital conservation programs for seven of Australia’s most critically endangered reptile and amphibian species. K-Z : What was your previous experience?
