K-Z: Hi Stacey! This is your second Olympic Games, but how did you start taekwondo? S: I started when I was four, because I enjoyed watching my older brother play games wearing a cool white dobok and coloured belt. I started competing at 10 years old in the Victorian State Championships. K-Z: How are you preparing? S: Hard taekwondo training, plus gym work with weights and conditioning training on the treadmill and bike. I’m also preparing by going overseas to Spain, France, and Italy for a three week training camp. K-Z: Any tips for K-Zoners interested in Taekwondo? S: Go to your local club! It’s a lot of fun for both traditional and sparring taekwondo. I love the play sparring and being creative to score points, like spinning double back-kick.…
