In late 2013, as my predecessor Mike Cook approached the end of his time at the helm of Jaguar Journal, it was with some trepidation that I began shadowing him in his editorial role. After 20-plus years of medical and technical writing, I was not too worried about stringing words together, but following in Mike’s footsteps as the doyen of matters Jaguar in North America was a far more daunting prospect. True, I had a few contacts in the UK, and had visited the US many times on business, but there was nothing for it but to start cramming furiously for my forthcoming tests in charge of the world’s oldest Jaguar magazine.
