"We're starting a little earlier because we have to pack the U-Haul after the show," he said.
Lincoln said the adapted version of Treasure Island was selected after speaking with the program's graduating seniors to see what they might like to perform, a tradition he honors each year. Lincoln said Treasure Island is written to be about 35 minutes long when performed, but by "extending the sword fights a bit" they were able to stretch it to 39 minutes, which Lincoln said is ideal for a competition piece.
Twenty-two students participated in the production, including 16 cast members and a robust crew of technical assistants and set builders. Lincoln said this is the first year that they have had a technical and stage hands working alongside the actors as they rehearsed. He added that it was a wonderful thing to have these additional students involved.
