From the moment Dame Stella Drake set foot in Waterloo Road, it was clear that there was a shake-up on the cards. Unlike last year’s headmaster Steve Savage, Stella turned up at school with the intimidating glare and strait-laced approach that only an ex-Ofsted top dog could deliver. That said, Stella hasn’t been able to entirely bat off the drama that has descended this term – including that brutal attack committed by her former student.
