The BIG stories from a week of timeless drama… Corrie’s Richard Hillman cast a long shadow. His reign of terror kicked off a big trend for soap serial killers, but with each plot less rewarding than the next (Emmerdale’s Cameron… EastEnders Gray… Corrie’s Stephen Reid etc…) the whole thing has become a bit of a soap cliché. Corrie’s original will always be the best, as proved this week when the soap manages to take a second bite out of its serial killer cherry. Gail has been receiving a series of cards supposedly from her dead hubby, and it’s clear that someone is out to torment her.
