Before Anthony is bumped off, Cain fears his and Ruby’s fling has become public knowledge when he finds Chas in a cagey, emotional state. He presses his sibling to open up about what’s upset her, and is horrified when she makes a shocking confession – has she told him all about Anthony? If so, Cain’s protective instinct could kick in and drive him to avenge his sister-in-law by going after Anthony – and we may have already had a clue backing up this theory! New Year’s Eve’s flash-forward teased a body being pushed into the river and showed Cain crumbling at a graveside. Is the Dingle hard man involved with ending Anthony and trying to cover up the crime?…
