Three big stars out – and one heading home…

Weatherfield is set to lose a trio of favourites, with Charlotte Jordan (Daisy), Sue Cleaver (Eileen), and Colson Smith (PC Craig Tinker) all departing the cobbles! Charlotte, who as Daisy is embroiled in a dramatic ‘who’s the daddy’ plot (see p8), will exit later this year after a dramatic climax. “It’s been a real privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much,” says the actress, who joined the show in 2020. Meanwhile, PC Tinker will be working his final shift in the coming months, with Colson told last autumn that Craig was on his way out after a period of 14 years. “I’m excited to play out the exit story for ‘Our Craigy’,” he explains.
