Not many actors can say they’ve had long-running roles in four UK soaps – unless they’re Ian Kelsey, who’s notched up stints in Emmerdale, Corrie, Doctors and Casualty. And as we catch up with him to hear about his new project, Mamma Mia: The Party, the first thing we ask Ian about is his feelings on Doctors coming to an end last year… “It’s a shame, because it was originally set up as a training ground for writers, camera, lighting – everyone working behind the scenes,” he recalls. “I was only ever supposed to be there for six months, but ended up staying for three years. I just kept extending because it was so much fun. Plus, you had fantastic actors coming through the doors every day.” His three years…
