Dr. Timothy J. Brown is the author of No One Cheers for Goliath, winner of the 2022 New York City, Big Book Award for African American nonfiction. Tim earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees in communication studies from Westchester University. He received his doctorate at Ohio University’s School of Interpersonal Communications Program (now the School of Communication Studies in the Scripps College of Communication.) It was at Ohio University, where he met his wife, Laura Hamilton Brown, Ph.D. Tim is currently the Dean of Liberal Arts at Montgomery County Community College, where he oversees 15 departments encompassing the arts and humanities and social sciences.
