EL CICLISTA MÁS RÁPIDO EN CRUZAR EL CONTINENTE AMERICANO

Carlos Santamaría, ciclista mexicano originario de San Luis Potosí, es el actual poseedor del récord Guinness Fastest Cycle Journey of the Pan-American Highway, por ser la persona que más rápido ha cruzado el continente americano de norte a sur en bicicleta. El trayecto desde Prudhoe Bay, en Alaska, hasta Ushuaia en Argentina, abarca un total de 22,709 kilómetros y fue recorrido por el joven mexicano en 117 días y 5 horas. Santamaría rompió el récord al culminar exitosamente todo el recorrido, que duró del 22 de agosto al 16 de diciembre de 2015, cuando tan solo tenía 23 años de edad.
