SUCCESS FOR DEBUTING PAIR

A YOUNG jockey is following in some illustrious family footsteps, after claiming a Royal International Horse Show coloured ticket in style at the head of the plaited ponies at NCPA Cheshire. Despite this being her open qualifier debut – and first outing on a new ride – Jemima Makin-Jones, nine, was called forward into the top spot. She was partnering her family’s delightful home-produced 13hh mare, My Country Belle (pictured, left).
