VERITY PERRY took medium silver at Prestige Winter Area Festival, Gloucestershire, with Bianchi, the first foal from her inter I mare, Armani VI.
“While Armani was an extrovert, Bianchi is very shy and it’s taken until now for him to become brave enough to take me,” said Verity, who also competed Bianchi’s baby brother, Vogue II. “But while his mother was hotter and trickier to train, Bianchi is very chilled – he’s every middle-aged woman’s dream.
“It was a bittersweet win, as I’ve been holding off treatment for a sarcoid on his sheath,” she added. “He has also qualified for the British Riding Clubs music championships. Whether we can attend either championships depends on how the treatment goes.”
