ABBIE NEWBURY bagged a hat-trick of titles at Little Mill: the inter I silver with 11-year-old Seagry Firstamour, and both the straight and freestyle advanced medium golds with the mare’s seven-year-old son, Seagry Viceroy (pictured). “It’s interesting to ride the two of them,” said Abbie, who co-owns Seagry Firstamour (Amy) with Keith Taylor of Seagry Stud. “They both have lots of power and both like working. “Amy is training at grand prix at home and is very bold, whereas ‘Roy’ is quieter – he needs his hand holding a little more,” she added of the Vitalis son. “But he’s very new to the level and still learning. I was confident that he had a chance in the freestyle, but it was super to take the straight class as well.”…
