IN-HAND showing has long been a cornerstone of British equestrianism, offering young horses the opportunity to gain valuable ring experience while showcasing the skill and dedication of Britain’s breeders. But as numbers in these classes dwindle, Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain (SHB(GB)) is stepping up to address the issue. With a history stretching back to 1886, SHB(GB) is the governing body for affiliated hunter and sport horse classes, and its commitment to supporting this vital area of equestrian sport remains steadfast. As the organisation works to ensure a bright future for in-hand showing, the challenge lies in adapting to a rapidly changing world while preserving the traditions at the heart of British horse breeding.
