1 Clerestory windows are installed above eye level for spaces where both light and/or privacy are needed or where standard windows aren’t an option. They are usually narrow and rectangular or wedge-shaped to follow a roofline and their high position leaves more wall space free for furniture like kitchen cabinets. Often featured as a small single window, they generally run along one wall or wrap around two or more sides of a room, as seen here with glazing from IDSystems.
