Air source heat pumps use power from nature for the perfect indoor climate

Air source heat pumps (ASHPs) are proving to be hugely popular sources of renewable energy for domestic properties due to their efficiencies and ability to perform in limited space. ASHPs draw on heat from atmospheric air which is absorbed at low temperatures into a fluid. This fluid passes through a compressor where its temperature is increased and transfers heat to a heating and hot water system in the home. Air source heat pumps are able to work in external temperatures as low as -20°C delivering a reduced energy consumption of up to 50%.
