“It’s been amazing to have actual rooms, and to stand inside them and understand how they will feel” I have been nervous about the construction of the flat roof to our new home because we’ve left the work to outside contractors. We’ve had the block walls up for a long time, but we’ve had to wait for the roof to go on because the steelwork had to be engineered. It was left to me to measure it all up, and even though I run an architectural practice, I rarely do full site measurements — it was nerve-racking.
