The owners of this four bedroom house in Ham, London, were starting a family and wanted to increase the size and flow of their home to meet their future needs. There were four bedrooms but the existing house felt cramped and dark. Clad in brick, with single-glazed timber windows, the property appeared very dated, too.
The homeowners were keen to expand the footprint of the house, but also to modernise it completely, both inside and out. The first part of the project was remodelling the existing house, and the brief included adding additional bedrooms and living areas — generally creating a light-filled contemporary residence.
