Not only did they build their own home but they also built the house on the adjacent plot — following the complete renovation of a near-derelict, Grade II-listed property, which stands to the front of this site. It would be easy to assume that the couple had turned their hand to property development, but this large-scale project was instead a necessary means of securing their ideal plot in a historic Herefordshire village.
