CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL REPARTO POLACO DE 1815

▪ TRAS 1815, LAS TIERRAS de la antigua Mancomunidad Polaco-Lituana permanecieron fragmentadas en un complejo escenario político-administrativo. El Imperio austríaco conservó la Galitzia “vieja”, y la disputada ciudad de Cracovia se convirtió en una república bajo la protección de Rusia, Prusia y Austria. Prusia siguió manteniendo la Prusia Occidental (su ganancia derivada del reparto de 1772) y recibió Posnania, en forma del casi autónomo ducado de Posen. La mayor parte del territorio polaco quedó integrado en el nuevo Reino de Polonia (o Reino del Congreso), bajo dominio del Imperio ruso. Las fronteras internacionales de Polonia en 1815 se mantendrían durante un siglo, con la excepción de Cracovia, que acabó siendo anexionada por Austria tras el levantamiento de 1846.…
