CON MOTIVO DEL 80 ANIVERSARIO DEL INICIO DE LA SEGUNDA GUERRA MUNDIAL, QUE COMENZÓ CON LA INVASIÓN ALEMANA DE POLONIA, RECORREMOS LA CIUDAD DE VARSOVIA SIGUIENDO LAS HUELLAS DE ALGUNOS DE SUS MOMENTOS MÁS OSCUROS: DE LA CREACIÓN DEL GUETO Y SU POSTERIOR ANIQUILACIÓN A LOS HEROICOS ESFUERZOS DE LA RESISTENCIA JUDÍA Y POLACA DE LUCHAR POR LA LIBERTAD.

Hoy es domingo, 8 de septiembre de 2019. Mientras paseo por las animadas calles del Stare Miasto de Varsovia –la Ciudad Vieja–, tomadas hasta el último rincón por hordas de turistas y vecinos que disfrutan del día festivo –se oyen risas, hay música en directo y las terrazas están abarrotadas de gente–, resulta difícil imaginar que, justo 80 años antes, en estos mismos días de septiembre, la capital polaca vivía atemorizada por culpa de los bombardeos y la artillería del ejército nazi, que acabaría invadiendo la ciudad tras un breve pero angustioso asedio.
