HIFI ROSE LAUNCHES FULLY-FEATURED ‘ENTERTAINMENT HUB’

New from HiFi Rose is the RS151, a sequel to the RS150 [HFN Jun ’21] which launched the brand in the UK in 2021. Priced £4299, the unit takes elements from the company’s RD160 DAC [HFN Jan ’25] and RS130 transport [HFN Oct ’23] to become its reference-level ‘network streamer’. However, as a system hub it also offers inputs on HDMI eARC, USB, AES/EBU, S/PDIF and analogue stereo; digital outputs on I2 S, USB-A, AES/EBU and S/PDIF; and supports installation of a 2.5in solid-state drive. Under-the-hood upgrades over the RS150 include an eight-core CPU providing improved processing speeds and graphics ability, and a new ESS ES9039PRO-based DAC stage, the latter allied to custom signal processing and a ‘Digital Processing Core Module’ to synchronise digital inputs to the RS151’s Femto clock.…
