As mid-August is to Monterey, late summer in the Upper Midwest is the annual Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Festival in historic Auburn, Indiana. The Labor Day weekend gathering was originally conceived to celebrate the three legendary automobile brands that had ties to the city, itself a mecca and virtually holy ground for Full Classic devotees. But since those early days, the scope of the event has evolved, as demonstrated by the corresponding auctions, including the 14th-annual Auburn Auction hosted by Worldwide Auctioneers on September 3-4, 2021.
