Having fun with famous friends including Denise Van Outen and Heidi Range last week provided some light relief for Tamzin Outhwaite ahead of her latest TV show, in which she investigates real-life murder mysteries. She is no stranger to fictional cold cases thanks to her recent role on BBC1 crime drama New Tricks and this new show will be a guilty pleasure for the mum of two, who shot to fame in EastEnders almost 20 years ago. “They wanted someone who had a reputation for being a detective on screen,” Tamzin (right) tells me. “Also, I am quite nerdy and this was something I hadn’t done before.” Cases featured on Dateline with Tamzin Outhwaite include brothers Tommy and Ray Highers, who have spent 25 years behind bars for a murder they claim…
