France was in mourning again last week as scores of people were killed in an attack in Nice. Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel drove a lorry (above) through crowds gathering to watch a Bastille Day fireworks display on the Promenade des Anglais.
It was the third fatal terrorist attack on the country in 18 months, after shootings at the Charlie Hebdo magazine offices in January 2015 and the massacre of 130 people in Paris last November.
The Nice attacker was reported to have zigzagged through the crowd before exchanging gunfire with police and being shot dead. Terrified onlookers fled the scene (right) and at least 84 people, including children, were reported dead, with many more in hospital in a critical condition.
