The Queen made a flying visit to see her grandson the Duke of Cambridge at work last week, at the start of a momentous day for the country. Her Majesty called in to see William and his colleagues at the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) before saying goodbye to outgoing Prime Minister David Cameron at Buckingham Palace and formally welcoming his successor, Theresa May. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were in good spirits as they toured the charity’s new base at Cambridge Airport with William as their guide. He was on duty and nearly missed the visit when he and his crew were scrambled to a medical emergency.
