Women are the winners as Charli XCX joins Beyoncé and Sabrina Carpenter among those taking home awards on music’s biggest night

It’s the music industry’s biggest event of the year, and this time around, the Grammy Awards was very much a ladies’ night. Charli XCX represented Britain on the red carpet, taking home three of the coveted awards and delivering one of the most talked-about performances, while Beyoncé picked up one of the ceremony’s biggest honours. Accompanied by her husband Jay-Z and their 13-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, the singer scooped Album of the Year – a category she had never won before – for Cowboy Carter, also becoming the first black woman in 51 years to win an award in a country music category.
