Bird Talk

A recent bout of shingles rendered me lethargic and lazing about for inordinate periods of time. Temporarily removed from the hustle and bustle of normal life, I paid more attention to what was going on around me. The rear of the house is open to the garden area beyond, and from either my recliner or bed I could view and listen to the sounds of the avian visitors as they arrived each day to search for the seed my wife, Betty, routinely scatters about for them. Bird arrivals commenced with the start of the day “Whatchagonnadoo” wake-up blast from the feral rooster’s overnight perch in the mango tree.
