Aloha Shoreline Whippers! The last time I picked up the pen, I had a good fishing tale about a kagami ulua to tell. Little did I know that the tale was just the beginning of a very challenging time in my life. Catching that kagami ulua hurt my left hand so badly that I had to receive surgery. While rehabbing from my first surgery, I severely injured the same hand and required a second surgery. Not fishing for the last seven months has been like a prison sentence. I’m still at the beach every morning, but for running, walking and swimming. I was at Waimea Bay watching everyone fish this summer and fall.
