With its grand façade awash in fuchsia beams, the cavernous interior of the Shanghai Exhibition Centre played host to a thousand guests for Max Mara’s first-ever show in China. Max Mara Monopolis! saw models take the stage in the Italian label’s pre-fall 2017 collection and a capsule collection designed in collaboration with Chinese artist Liu Wei. The country’s famous and fashionable, including actress Tiffany Tang, and models Emma Pei and Bonnie Chen, sat in the front row alongside international influencers Irene Kim, Kristina Bazan and Eleonora Carisi. Post-presentation, the chic crowd proceeded to dance the rest of the night away at the after-party—and compare notes on what to shop from the “see-now, buy-now” capsule collection, available in stores immediately after the show.…
