I don’t have a uniform; I have moods. Sometimes I want to wear dresses, and sometimes I want to wear cargos or sequins or bold, bright colors. I bought my Celine jeans at Saks’s New York flagship toward the end of 2020. Things were opening up again, and I needed some retail therapy. I was thinking, “How do I want to get dressed? I’m not showing up to the office in head-to-toe leather now, but I do need something that looks chic.” Out of all the categories of dressing, denim was one that still had me stumped.
