● Den dubbla Oscarsvinnaren Gene Hackman hedrades häromhelgen på Oscarsgalan. – Han vann filmälskares hjärtan världen över, säger Morgan Freeman som spelade mot Hackman i två filmer. Hackman pensionerade sig från skådespelaryrket 2004 för att tillsammans med sin 30 år yngre hustru Betsy Arakawa bosätta sig i Santa Fe i New Mexico. Där levde paret ett tillbakadraget och isolerat liv och syntes sällan utanför sitt hem under 20 år som förflutit MEN NÄR DERAS grannar inte sett till dem utanför deras hus kontaktade man fastighetsskötaren som tog sig ut till Hackmans hus, han möttes där av en chockerande syn. Strax innanför ytterdörren låg Gene Hackman död. Inne i badrummet hittade han Hackmans hustru död med piller utspridda över golvet. Bägge kropparna var delvis mumifierade. Det sista makabra fyndet gjorde fastighetsskötaren…
