För det finns inga hjärtslag att registrera. Theobald stryper Alyx. HAN SLÄNGER HENNE i bakluckan och kör österut mot Berkeley Hills, den östra delen av Tilden Regional Park, där han gräver ner henne. ”Inte en aning. Hon var här igår och sade att hon skulle paddla kanot. Jag vet inte var hon tagit vägen”, säger Theobald när en av Alyxs arbetskamrater ringer dagen efter. Det är den 5 december och Alyx har inte dykt upp på jobbet. Hon är ju nedgrävd. Men det är det bara Theobald som vet. Klart han håller tyst om det.…
