01/HOUSE 10 Fold House LOCATION Abbotsford, Victoria Looking to retain the original footprint and architectural history of the home while creating a modern, light-filled interior was all that the homeowners of 10 Fold were hoping for. Maintaining the heritage of the home through the original brickwork, an earthy, modern interior palette was created using organic elements such as Tasmanian oak, natural stone and terrazzo in the flooring. Compiling all these layers resulted in a cosy and contemporary home of Edwardian-era heritage. The highly textural brickwork seen throughout highlights the history of home, which, when paired with the terrazzo flooring seen in this passageway, showcases how the old and the new can exist in harmony and demonstrate great textural sophistication.
