SUZUKI FÊTE SES 100 ANS!
Fondée le 15 mars 1920 par Michio Suzuki à Hamamatsu (Japon), l’entreprise fabrique d’abord des métiers à tisser. Elle ne produit son premier deux-roues motorisé, le Power Free, qu’en 1952. Pourtant, 8 ans plus tard, elle s’engage en GP. En catégorie 125 cm³ sur le TT de l’île de Man. Deux ans plus tard, la première victoire (avec la technologie du moteur 2-temps) est offerte par l’Allemand Ernst Degner en catégorie 50 cm³, toujours au TT. Depuis, Suzuki a remporté 157 victoires de plus. 30 en 50 cm³, 35 en 125 et 93 en 500/MotoGP, la dernière en date étant celle d’Alex Rins à Silverstone en 2019. Et 15 titres mondiaux, de Degner en 1962 à Kenny Roberts Junior en 2000.…
