What do you do when you’re a chemical-free bush regenerator asked to rehabilitate a 15km stretch of creek infested with cat’s claw creeper? Professional bush regenerator Nadia de Souza Pietramale and her team accepted the challenge in 2021. It made all the difference to have a client fully behind a long-term experimental approach. The land is located near the rural New South Wales village of Drake in the Clarence River catchment and it was the threat of a broad-scale herbicide attack that inspired the land’s custodian to look for alternatives, not least to protect two crystal-clear creeks with potable water.
