One of the things that creates interest and beauty in the garden is lots of different levels in the plantings. From groundcovers through flowering annuals and vegies to shrubs and small trees to larger shade trees, the eye can enjoy casually wandering the plantscape. So don’t forget the climbers. Whether they have their own structure to ascend, such as a reo arch or bamboo tepee, or a fence or shed wall to cling to as they spread their wings, climbing plants have a place in most gardens. And, because they are usually in view, it makes sense to choose plant species that flower and fruit.
