When Peter and Vicki Kearney decided to send their children to a Steiner school, it meant a move from Brisbane to the greener pastures of Draper, a rural community in scenic Samford Valley northwest of the city where the school was located. That in turn prompted Peter to delve a little more deeply into what Rudolf Steiner was all about and, when he discovered the man’s 1924 Agricultural Course, he was hooked. Gardening, organics and biodynamics became Peter’s obsessions and led to a complete career change to fully encompass the self-sufficient lifestyle. Now all grown up, the couple’s four children have been on the sustainable gardening journey for most of their lives. From those early days, this family of six decided to “tread lightly on this Earth”, growing food organically…
