CREATE DECORATIVE SALT-DOUGH TILES AND KEEPSAKE GIFT TAGS USING FLOWERS AND FOLIAGE FROM YOUR GARDEN

By using flowers and foliage gathered from the garden you can create inset designs in salt dough. Once dry, it can be decorated with eco-friendly acrylic paint and to create keepsake decorative tiles and gift tags. Choose plants with interesting and contrasting textures that are solid enough to make an impression in soft dough, which can then be painted in pretty colours. Materials • A quantity of freshly made salt dough• String or ribbon for the gift tags• Cookie cutter• Rolling pin• Flowers or leaves from the garden, preferably with a little solid texture for making impressions• Acrylic paints and brush Step by step Step 1 Collect flowers and leaves with interesting textures.
