Sometimes gardening spills over into other locations outside one’s own patch — and that’s the case with this passionate gardener. Steena Barnett’s love of gardening and the need to share that love have led her to join local crop swap groups, organic gardening clubs and a community garden hub. She and husband Barney live on a quarter-acre block in Karana Downs, west of Brisbane. The property is located in a rain shadow thanks to surrounding mountains, so planting and gardening are done with that in mind.
