ON KISS SOLO ALBUMS

Starting with Kiss’ 1974 self-titled debut, Dennis Woloch served as the art director overseeing all of the band’s album releases, tour books, advertising and more. We recently spoke with Woloch about his key role commissioning the striking artwork on the four Kiss solo albums from 1978. GOLDMINE: How did you come to enlist painter Eraldo Carugati to do the paintings for the Kiss solo albums? DENNIS WOLOCH: When the solo-album project came along, it was probably the most important Kiss project that I had done up to that point.
