DESPITE suffering a string of tragic losses, the octogenarian Oak Ridge Boys are “unretiring” — and hoping the road goes on forever! The beloved country four-some had announced their 2024 tour would be their farewell, but recently reversed their decision and added more concert dates to their 2025 schedule. Fans cheered their incredible grit, especially in the face of an overload of recent tragedies — Joe Bonsall, the group’s longtime tenor vocalist, passed away after battling ALS, group lead singer Duane Allen’s wife, Norah Lee, died, and group baritone William Lee Golden’s son Rusty also passed away.
