Things to know about Idaho turkey permits

The entirety of the Idaho Panhandle is available to hunt with a general-season turkey tag, regardless of the hunt unit, meaning individual turkey tags are available over the counter for both residents and nonresidents. Hunters may hold two general turkey tags good for male turkeys only during spring hunts, which run from April 15 through May 25.
