It’s tough for even the hardest-charging turkey chaser to keep his foot on the hunting accelerator through an entire gobbler season. That’s especially so late in spring when most of the easy birds have been taken, other toms are call shy or henned up, and you’re just plain wiped out from crawling out of bed hours before dawn. But heads up: Some of the best Eastern turkey hunters alive advise not to give up. In fact, late-season turkey hunting can sometimes be remarkably productive, though some tactical changes may be required.
