HOW A NESPRESSO MACHINE WORKS

01 Insert the pod Select a flavoured pod for your coffee – the machine will pierce the foil in a grid-like way and then force high-pressure water through the pod. This method extracts the flavoured grounds on the way through. 02 Heat the water The heating element inside the machine will kick in, and the water will start to be pumped through it, heading for a specialised needle near the top of the machine to increase the pressure before it passes through the pod. 04 Pouring the coffee The now hot and highly-pressured water will pass through the pod, like water would in an espresso machine.
