Better known for just making the Android OS, Google is launching a new hardware line up including a phone, VR headset and more

Though Google has made its own Nexus smartphones for years, the tech giant has always been keener to see its Android operating system on devices made by others. This year, not only has Google killed off the Nexus range and replaced it with an all-new Pixel, but launched its own VR headset, a new Chromecast and more. It appears that Google has no problem showing that it is targeting rival devices, with the Pixel phone clearly being pushed as an iPhone rival, while the Daydream View is clearly a shot across Samsung’s bow, and the Google Home is going head-to-head Amazon’s Echo.
