WHAT? The PSVR will need an external processor running alongside the PS4 in order to make it work. The box itself is about the size of a Wii console (remember those?) and will act as a relay between headset and console. It allows you to throw a ‘social’ screen onto your TV, so people in the living room can either watch you play on VR, or play against you using the PS4. WHY? The box handles the computational sides of VR wrangling (outputting to two screens, helping with that refresh rate and so on).
